Do you see a 40-mile-long Russian convoy? Really?
I see a 40-mile-long row of dominoes.
It also kinda looks like a string, doesn't it. Light it at both ends and see what happens.

Hoping that they haven't thought of clearing the road for explosives etc.
I was thinking more in terms of drone ops or an ideal project for what used to be Blackwater. Ukraine is already using drones.
Blackwater was renamed Xe and then got bought out by the Constellis Group. There's a Wikipedia page on that somewheres.
Apperently Constellis is just a different rendition of Xe/Blackwater. Same ole people, different name, with the appearance of being a subsidiary of Constellis Holdings LLC so my shell game detector just went off.

Imagine, if you will, a good old A-10 "Warthog" strafing that convoy

In all seriousness, I think that this convoy has NOT been attacked by the Ukrainians. Is that right? If so, why not?

My guess is that maybe it's a trap. And maybe they are faking the appearance of being "stalled" to make the honeypot look juicier.

If the convoy includes a ton of anti-aircraft missile launchers, and the Russian air force concentrates their patrols in the area, then any Ukrainian jets and drones trying to attack the convoy might be flying into a kill zone.

Or maybe it's simply that the Ukrainians calculate that they'll get a better attrition ratio by hitting them at the Kyiv defense points than by reaching out and trying to hit them out in the open.
Unknown at this point, except that NPR reports that the convoy has slowed. One or more of those trucks could be carrying nuke warheads, and could very well be a trap. It's pretty much why I think that immobilizing the head and the tail of the whole string would be a safer thing to do.
...and keep the sides of that road very very muddy. ;)
