It's Twitter. When Musk released the horde, i felt a lot of things happen. Activity went up, and i actually had a few meaningful discussions. But what also happened was the amount of people turning to ad hominem and researching your wall, nickname etc. in order to find personal stuff to "take you down" with. There was a storm at the start and it's calmer now, but i'm more sure that i will leave. Trying to weane myself off gradually. Have a nice day Sir!

Someone assured me that Lone Skum really had made excellent progress cleaning up the bots, which confused me, as I’ve been followed by two in the past few days, after going mostly inactive? That was not a problem I had before. They can stay and enjoy very intermittent reposts of Japanese landscape photography I suppose? At least that doesn’t anger or depress me, except for wondering if they know what’s happening to the site, and being sad that I may not see their work at all for much longer.

They don’t seem to understand there’s Twitter Blue vs Twitter Verified, Blue is the subscription, Verified just means you’re a notable public figure and it says it is free online. Or they claim you’re broke because you won’t pay the $8. And if your tweet goes viral, you just don’t have time to read all their replies or Twitter blocks them out for whatever reason.
