Yep....that happened here yesterday and supposed to be almost 60 degrees early next week...

@Kenny Chaffin: But, weather variability in CO has always been hugely greater than IL. (I've lived in both places.)

The front just arrived here, too. We also about 20 degrees in an hour, and it's going lower.

I hope the TX power grid holds up. I can do without freezing in my own home again. 🤞

Same psycho temp changes at the same time in my part of Pa as well...husband remarked on it earlier in disgusted amazement..

Snow is blowing so hard some is creeping underneath one of my locked north-facing living room windows. No storm windows and "old building-itis." Inside temp is holding so far, with thermostat at full-blast, but by morning I will be using my space heaters and reaching for blankets, I'm sure.

And it's now 1 degree above zero.

Our high here was 33 shortly around daybreak... dropping all day. Minus 7 overnight, with the winds not dying down until sometime Saturday. Only good thing about that is that the snow won't be deep except where it has drifted, so maybe I won't have to dig my car out of too much stuff.

And @Clara Listensprechen the dancing Blues Brothers on the roof of the Rich and Creamy ice cream shop are probably frozen stiff!
