The rock box left out Mellow Yellow, Ribbon Yellow and Tambourine Green. There should be a box of Neon Rainbow.
A similar Country box would include Brown Eyes Blue.

Well, there's Ebony And Ivory to add to the rock box. How about Beret Raspberry...and I think Big Taxi Yellow is already taken.
Flying purple people eater?
Both good ones!
There's a bit of a quibble with the purple people eater because the song says he eats purple people. :-}}

The country crayons would still be strange--that Brown Eyes Blue crayon should be placed next to the Lilac Green crayon.

LOL - it all depends on the order of the adjectives. Maybe it should have been "one-eyed, one-horned, purple flying people-eater."
John Ritter's daddy, 1945:

The guy who sang Purple People Eater was Sheb Wooley who was known for playing on words, and that's not even his real name. His other alias was "Ben Colder". Playing with words was his schtik.

Regarding the history of Green Grow the Lilacs, the YouTube page shows interesting comments about how it was the origin of the term "gringo". This is true. Although Tex Ritter recorded it in 1945, it dates back to the Spanish American war and U.S. troops were heard singing it by the Spanish side. "Green Grow" became gringo, so that part is true.
Okay, back to the crayon box of rock. Long Cool Dress Black.
The country box has got nuthin’ on the rock box when you add an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot crayon.

Ya, the polka dot vest is already covered, polka dot-wise.
