I don't care. Twitter will sink. And people will migrate to another corporation's product. Why is there so much panic? Because people have invested so much of their personal identity in a thing they have no ownership or control in.
Step away from the screen and network. Socially. For real.

Lots of people on Twitter are explaining about why they are taking it so hard. People don't just use it socially, and some people aren't free to meet like-minded people IRL. Plenty of countries still make LGBT lifestyles illegal.

@Jess Nut Fear not, another corporation will come along and gladly monetize peoples social desires.

Unless a government wants to step up and make one, that people will trust with their information... it would have to be a corporation.

Which is missing some key features, and with people maintaining it as a hobby it's going to be a while before we see enhansements, real content moderation at scale, or other needs to make something a real Twitter replacement.
