We got between 8 to 10” of snow, depending on where you were.

The cleanup crews are out because a lot of fully grown trees fell in streets and the power company is out because tens of thousands are without power. Everything is shut down. Thanks a lot March.

What a funny quote!! Lovee the snowy wonderland but I'm not dealing with all that snow. Take care @Katherine Bond.
Katherine Bond diaspora
I’m not excited about it @Donna McClure. I’m in the Sick of Winter season.

I have power and no fallen trees except for the one in the back yard still there from a wind storm last year @Kenny Chaffin, so all is well. 😀

I’m going out later, so I can see what damage is in the neighborhood.

Despite not having snow I am ready for a sunny spell as we have had a very wet winter here. That said, no complaints as we needed the rain & more is coming. I just would like a break of maybe 3 days. I've enjoyed the sun today, had a good walk.

I know the feeling @Donna McClure. Three days in a row of sun. ☀️☀️☀️

We can dream @Katherine Bond. I just turned on the news to catch up on what the storm did yesterday. I feel for people that keep getting hit again & again due to all this rain.
Katherine Bond diaspora
I saw the flooding @Donna McClure on the news. Horrific.

We’re melting…

The flooding is not right in my area, most of the worst flooding is south of San Francisco. Some streets in different cities/towns had street flooding due to clogged drains. I haven't seen anything today so I'm not sure what that might be @Katherine Bond. There are also some areas that are low lying here in Sonoma county that typically flood but recedes as the rain stops. Right now the ground is so saturated water has no where to go. Yesterday was mostly sunny which helped.

Lower elevations in the Sierras are also melting @Katherine Bond. The amount of snow in the mountains is literally record breaking. There will be lots of high creeks, rivers, etc., when it warms up & starts a spring melt.

@Donna McClure. I just saw on the news that two Northern California dams have begun releasing water from their spillways, first time in four years. You have lots of water everywhere. My lake grows in my yard as the snow melts, but we will have more snow tonight into tomorrow, 2-4”. Thanks March. 😛
We got a smidge over two inches overnight that melted by mid to late afternoon. 😀. More is expected Monday night. 🙁
Katherine Bond diaspora
I don’t mind those small amounts. They don’t cause floods.

However I am in the Winter of My Discontent right now.
The snow that melts away quickly is part of the Winter of Incontinence.

I think that can be taken care of with some Poise. 😉
When it is just snow, I go with the flow.

@Katherine Bond even I need a break from winter!! I went over the bridge yesterday that crosses the Russian River, it is far from being at flood stage. Further down the river I'm not sure there was nothing about flooding in today's paper. The ground is saturated though. I heard about Oroville Dam releasing water but that is the only one.
We are expecting about 8 inches Monday night and into the day Tuesday.
Katherine Bond diaspora
It’s snowing here right now, but I think we got our 8” for the moment @Brian Fitzgerald. Don’t get buried.

We have more rain!!!! 🌧️🌧️
