I am not anti-Government per se, I don't just hate & fear the guvmint on principle, I approve big government acting for the benefit of the people, which is of course their intended purpose.
However, when government abdicates its popular role, sells out instead to big business who have a very different view of the people, seeing them as cannon fodder, at best a consumer market & at worst a source of feudal or slave labour, then the government, with its police & military & intelligence becomes a very formidable enemy.
I realise of course that this only happens in foreign countries, not in your democracy where you still have elections every few years, however ...
When was the last time that a change of government made any substantive difference to the decline of your civilisation?
Just imagine a fictitious world where the evil plutocrats had purchased all available politicians likely to be elected.
Would that still be democracy?
Is it still democracy?
