Folks don’t understand how bad things are for the Liberals.

Let me be blunt: there’s no left wing vote to split. If an election were to be called tomorrow, the Liberals would be wiped out and what’s left of any progressivism will be the NDP. For progressivism to survive in Canada, the NDP is where you’ll have to park your vote.

Let me be honest. Liberalism in Canada is as good as dead. Things are about to take a hard rightward shift.

And to tell you the truth, I fear Pierre Poilievre more than I fear Donald Trump.

Because whatever you want to say about Poilievre, he is smarter than Trump. He’s a master manipulator par excellence. He can sell water to fish.

But you look at Trudeau, and you go, “God damn, this is bad…”

Now I’ll be parking my vote with the NDP, but will they form government? No. Maybe, if we’re lucky, they’ll gain more seats.

According to the WHO's GISRS FluNet surveillance data, we might be at the third lowest point of Covid.

Everybody could put their little maskies on all the way through winter and we could see if that line drops and flattens for a decent interval.

Although the data may be incomplete, it does give an overall sense of the Covid waves over the years as well as a visual comparison to flu in terms of seasonality and surges.

Show these sorts of graphs to your minimizers and pandemic past-tensers. Put them on the spot to do some fancy footwork to justify the last 2-3 years.

Good morning tooters. It’s a beautiful day outside, still a little smoke haze hanging around but better than yesterday. It’s about 18c & will reach a comfortable 31c, so not too bad. #Weather
Wandering my garden this morning & I swear my cucumbers have tripled in size since I pointed them out to my granddaughter on Friday. They keep growing this fast I’ll have one or two on Christmas Day! The tomatoes don’t seem to be doing as well unfortunately. Not that much fruit on them 🤷🏼‍♀️. Second year running I haven’t had much success with them. There will be fruit, just not a bounty 🙁. #Garden
I did have one little treat that I spied outside on one of the outdoor blinds. A beautiful Australian Emperor Dragonfly, stunning against the grey of the blind with its shiny fragile wings - absolutely perfect, almost unreal. Made my morning #Insects.
Visiting my sister this morning & she has visitors, the former wife of her son & her family have arrived for Christmas & I’m looking forward to that catch up. Great people.
