Releasing the Cluster API

Damn! This is a big freakin' deal! Because I'm running my own Nextcloud instance, and they added a Mapping app to the set of one-click installs, and # is one of the free # services you can add to it, I'm in the # loop about this.

Somebody could spin-up a simple Nextcloud Hub, and pull in mapping data for political uses and build a grassroots organizing plan for getting a people-force out to doorways. I did something a bit like this in 2007-2008 but it wasn't anywhere near this simple. I had to precode a shitload of # stuff into an Access database file with preloaded data for the locality that was doing the work and get it to them somehow as an excessively large file. In this case, with all the built-in security and sharing # has, a single person could set this up and run it out of their home Internet connection off of an old PC converted into a server.

Releasing the Cluster API

GraphHopper Directions API']We’re happy to announce our new product: the Cluster API! It solves the “capacity clustering problem” by assigning a set of customers to a given number of distinct groups (called clusters).

Thanks, @Darius Kazemi for the cool thinking here. The linked article below goes to his idea of the Federated #Neighborhood that he added to a fork of #Mastodon. I hope all the #Developers of #ActivityPub or Federated #SocialNetworks see his idea. I think it's a built-in feature of all #Nextcloud instances.

Notes to yourself and privacy...

If you make notes or use #GoogleKeep you should know about this #Masterpiece in progress. The work of @Carnet is delivering a Note taking app called #Carnet for our new treacherous age of information. I access mine via my private #Nextcloud server, but they have other ways too. Register at https://carnet.live/index.php/apps/registration/ and access via the mobile app, web browser or desktop program.
