Well, I'm out.

This is My final tweet.

From now on you can find Me at https://t.co/9gNNgte22R.

It's been a great ride, and the ride continues.

Fuck you Elon Musk, you anti-union, megalomaniacal, X Æ A-XII-son-calling piece of shit.

Please retweet this and then join Me.

Bye.

I was already following him (it / her?).

I locked my Twitter account tonight.
Good on ya. Since I'm permanently suspended, I cannot but wish I could.
Nah. Twitter.
But since Musk is burning the place to the ground, I'm gonna particularly savor toasted bird this Thanksgiving.
@Clara Listensprechen Ah, understood. Well, join me on Mastodon if you are so inclined. I caught George Takei just as he joined and was his 14th follower. Haha. He's got a quarter million now or something. And a number of my old G+ friends that only stayed on Twitter have come over.

I've been on Masto for years. Before the Twitter migration, Masto has always been sort of the "intellectual" segment of the Internet, populated by academics, math heads, astronomers and other scientists, and artists. The Mastodon network is much larger than the Diaspora network we're using here and has absorbed 2 million active Twitterers over the past couple weeks without a problem.

I've been Mastodon-curious for quite some time, I admit; time I've been spending getting familiarized with Friendica. I do believe I'll take you up on that down the road a piece.

Ya, I'm also following George; on Twitter I was also following Brad, but Brad seems to favor Facebook. Just tonight when Stephen Colbert said disparaging things about Twitter, the first thing I did was do a search on @ StephenAtHome but he's not in the Fediverse.

YET!!
YET! Hahaha. Social networking is a highly personal thing in terms of which social networking environment makes you happy and comfortable. Personally, I find the Mastodon experience more warm and cozy than any other environment. But that's me. YMMV.
