Glass onion is a really cool parody. I see Elon Musk, Joe Rogan and Kim Kardashian style characters.
"Perhaps more than any previous year, 2022 made us realize, in both real life and fiction, that billionaires are not inherently more intelligent and better than everyone else. " LOLs no shit! not a surprise to many but i'm glad it's been stated. again. XD
i'm more of this opinion https://filmcolossus.com/glass-onion-bad-writing bc i'm a cynical old tart who resents millions of dollars being spent on lazy work. it felt like propaganda.
*bad propaganda - do better!

The irony is that its not an Elon Musk parody. It was written at a time when plenty of other individuals were putting their hubris on display. The character in question even appears in one scene in Steve Jobs garb. If anything - Elon Musk is becoming a parody of the self-delusional stereotype.

The lesson here is that one scathing year won't solve the problem. Not after years (decades, centuries) of repeats.
also known as "plastic shallot" 😀) yeah i couldnt see how the movie could be about EM as it was made prior to the twitter waffle and the guy seemed more Jobs-like to me (not that i know either chap terribly well, or at all.) esp re costume. its release at the time of some people being very excited about twitter was, i hope, due to shit timing rather than intent.
the gf char was not a very good Grimes either, not even close.

it probably would be more fun but for the twitter hysteria at the time of release, when everyone suddenly became experts in psychology and multimillion dollar dealings XD (that, for me, was heaps funnier) Maybe a rewatch in a year or so will improve it but if folks find it fun, what the hey. we need more fun.

I found it entertaining, it wasn’t a highflyer. But then again which Hollywood movie is, nowadays?
@[email protected] and it doesnt involve people running around and shooting each other for 90 minutes, so that's another standout and a plus. ;)

"He talked about electric cars. I don't know anything about cars, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Then he talked about rockets. I don't know anything about rockets, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Now he talks about software. I happen to know a lot about software & Elon Musk is saying the stupidest shit I've ever heard anyone say, so when people say he's a genius I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets." -- Rod Hilton

and maybe look into these things more than what people say.
