It should be possible in principle to choose the same seed for each run of a transformer, but nobody does that. I strongly suspect that it would produce measurably worse results. I'm sure there's a paper in creating a new type of deterministic transformer, if you want to blaze a trail on this new path that others have not followed.

Going with a malleable seed makes it more likely to get a useful outcome (eventually).

Remember: It's all hallucinations in there. If you lock down a seed, you're basically sanctifying a random slice through those hallucinations, saying "This is our model".
First of all, that throws away most of the parameters.
And it removes the user's ability to "reroll" a bad outcome to get a "better one".

This is a fundamentally bullshit technology, but the random seed isn't the reason for it.

The sad thing is that all of this, from trying to cancel the World Health Organization through stopping all foreign aid programmes to investigating ways to punish Canada for selling things to the United States, is going to have the adverse consequence of driving more countries into closer relations with China.

China won't even have to do anything, except pass the now really low bar of being the more stable trading partner that signs up to climate change agreements.

Lety Does Eating Baja Fiery Mango Flavored Chips From Doritos

So I filmed this back in the spring when Doritos announced their new collab flavor with Taco Bell/Mountain Dew! Aaand I've just been sitting on the footage for a few months, debating what to do with it. Because I know I'm not good at describing flavors and such, and also I yap a lot and drone on for maybe longer than I should, to the point where what I'm trying to communicate maybe becomes unclear. Given all that, I just want to say: these chips are really bad.

DT and me are so different. I am a young black guy from the US. DT is a white lady from the UK.
I don't think we would have hooked up on any other social. I remember DT saying she was unsure we would have anything in common. But we do . I love DT she is an online friend now.
