I wish kitties could tell it their troubles. Normally, Penguin flops down facing away from me when she wants pets, but she occasionally faces me instead with an extra grump look in her eyes. She wants attention, but she is also upset at something, so the attention needs to be extra gentle. It is hard to navigate, and extra bitey, but I make sure she leaves with a cheered up look on her face

Been a while since I've had this much space on my bench! The trigger crossbar is finally on the rack.

I need to measure and order a lot of cabling to fully hook it up, and it's open topped for now so I can still get JTAG dongles in (firmware isn't quite finished and while I can OTA flash most components, debug/trace access is nice).

But it's off the bench which is great.

I had to use Google Maps to find the answer to this and the answer is that the nearest Wendy's is 720 km away while the nearest Whataburger is 7,200 km away, which for purely practical reasons makes Wendy's 10 times better.

I firmly believe that this is what will save us. He was willing to say anything at all to win. It worked. But we saw in his first term that, even with some competent people helping him, he couldn't accomplish anything. What he did get done was the sort of thing a Republican government would have done pretty much without him.

This time? He's choosing 100% incompetent people. He'll get less done than last time.

It's both. And that's the problem we will have for the foreseeable future. We are a free, democratic people. We pick our leaders. Owing to the ease with which wealthy people can mislead so many of us, we have freely chosen fascists. Curtailing the ability of the rich and powerful to peddle lies risks curtailing our basic freedoms, so we are reluctant to do it.

My solution: a wealth tax. No limit to how rich you can be, but the more you have, the more you give back.

One quibble: not ALL of us chose this 'government of fools' we're about to be ruled over by. A lot of us were smarter than that and WE'RE the ones who are going to be suffering the most for this BS that the 'majority' rules forced on us by way of the Electoral College, which should be abolished.
