Blanket was delivered to its tiny human so now I can share the hasty pics I took. #knitting
A square hand-knitted blanket made from the center out laying on foam mats on a bed. The blanket has a wavy pattern. The background is navy blue and the foreground is a muted rainbow going from red-orange in the middle to blues to reds before the gradient reverses. The blanket held right side out (gradient background, navy foreground) by the same human as in the previous image..
The foreground and background are reversed from the previous image because we live a double-sided blanket! It's being held aloft by an obscured human.

"Gift Exchange," chalk and charcoal on cracked concrete. - David Zinn ❤ Chalk Art by happiness maker David Zinn (5 photos): https://streetartutopia.com/chalk-art-by-happiness-maker-david-zinn-2/
“Gift Exchange” by David Zinn, created using chalk and charcoal on cracked concrete, features a whimsical green dragon emerging from a fissure in the pavement, holding a red gift box with a bright yellow ribbon. Nearby, a tiny mouse-like figure with its own small gift looks toward the dragon, as if part of a charming exchange. The artwork cleverly utilizes the natural cracks in the concrete to enhance the illusion of depth, blending the fantastical with the real-world texture of the pavement.

Random CRPG design thought ... in classic CRPGs, you could carry tons and tons of stuff. But why not have a trusty pack mule or something travel with you?

It would be a realistic way to carry enough stuff for serious trading, and you'd have an animal friend for your travels.

#GameDevelopment #GameDesign
Eating your pack animal has a very Don't Starve vibe to it. I often eat things in that game to avoid starving in the now, but at the expense of building/cooking things that would be more beneficial in the future. I have yet to ever make it through winter.
Isaac Kuo diaspora
Another approach could be the opposite way ... you play as an intelligent pack animal, making "suggestions" to the adventurer on what to do and where to go next. Never mind that the adventurers tend to not last very long, there's always another fool looking for adventure...

It certainly is a blow to President Musk and his coffee boy Trump. #politics

LAX, which is always a zoo, was a Zoo Extraordinaire today. No cops, no traffic direction. So people were just parked in the "no waiting" pick up zones. No one was moving them along at all, which created DEF-CON 2 level gridlock.

It literally took longer for me to drive from DTLA to LAX than his flight time from Albuquerque to LA.

LAX. ‘Tis a very silly place.

Scrabble Blast for Windows 98 is not so much Scrabble as it is a hybrid of Scrabble and Boggle, raised on a diet of adrenaline and coffee. And you know what? It’s a blast – pun absolutely intended.

Like Boggle, you’re frantically finding words on a grid, often on a timer. But like Scrabble, these words have points – multiplied by special squares. Math certainly makes everything more intense, eh?

The game packs three distinct modes, each offering it’s own flavour of word-nerd anxiety:
  • One Bag - 49 letters on the board, 51 in reserve, and your brain slowly melting as you try to use them all before they’re gone.
  • Puzzle - Unlimited letters, with the goal of finding 10 per level. Once you find 10, you proceed to the next level. There are bombs. Yes, bombs. Should one arrive on the lowest row? Boom. You lose.
  • Action - Like Puzzle, but now bombs drop every seven seconds in real-time. It’s as stressful as it sounds.
Admittedly, this is a, well… blast. Action reminds me a little bit of Tetris Blast, which is actually a great gameplay mechanic and adds a lot of fun.

The gameplay is simple but addictive. Much like nachos at a party, you think you’ll stop after one game. You won’t.

Graphics? Look it’s a word game from the early ‘00s. What do you want, photorealistic vowels? The tiles look like wood, so… good job, I guess?

The sound is charming for about five minutes. The indie-prog rock loop starts fun, then becomes your personal Groundhog Day. I sure wish this game had more tracks. And while the sound effects are fine, they won’t change your life.

Control? Easy-peasy. It’s a point-and-click affair. You click on the letters to make up the words. That’s it. I suspect most of you know how to operate a mouse, and if not, stick to board games.

Funkitron developed Scrabble Blast. They made other word games like WordJong and Scrabble Rack Attack. They’re also known for the Slingo series.

If you’re into word games, Scrabble Blast will scratch that itch while tossing in a bit of fun-flavoured anxiety for good measure. Play it, and milk your vocabulary for all its worth.

@Piousunyn I had posted it earlier on FB, so I figured that's what it was. But I read it, and I think I get it now. 45 is a member of the Oligarchy, so that's the connection. And it isn't as if Musk is the only one, he's the spokesperson, but also a representative of the whole group. And then I think Bezos was there with them at MAL too. So it is a wider relationship than maybe folks are seeing, and I think that's what Reich is trying to point out. Also I'm guessing that's how 45 sees it. Musk represents something more to him. The rich and powerful.
See here. This! This is what I'm saying!

Now that I’m sketching ideas again I’m thinking back to my very first design: the Estela cowl. Recently when organizing my knits, I counted a total of 5 versions of this that I have knit. This is the final version after having learned more about lacework. I love the wavy pattern and thinking my next shawl will be with this motif as a tribute to this design.
