Used the laser cutter to make a holder for my class set of spirographs — for the lessons I like to do my students need to know how many gears the rings have. They write a program that produces the same curve using turtle. (with older students we do the trig, which I just call “magic circle functions” for the grade fives)

This will make it all go much smoother!

I really love old-fashioned ornate theaters.

In the 70s, everyone got together to financially rescue the Fox Theater in Atlanta. It would have been a crime to let their famous ballrooms fall into disuse. Even the restrooms are a beautifully appointed experience.

All right, there’s this place beyond the Internet called Meatspace. It’s kind of like the Metaverse except you flail about with these fleshly things called limbs.

And you can do incredible activities there like taste and smell things. But also interact with real human beings while they move about their flesh-parts.

Anyway, in Meatspace, I’ve met a variety of people. Some of them can also be found on the Internet, quite often on social media platforms like Mastodon, Reddit, or LinkedIn. Sometimes they connect with me on those platforms too, and they’re exactly the same person on social media as they are on Meatspace.
