we're looking to upgrade from the N95 masks we've been using to respirator/gas masks so that we can reduce the amount of disposable material from full masks to filters + looking for a more comfy fit. the rubber bands on our current masks sometimes make my partner's head hurt.

also ones that look punk/goth would be nice, but fit/protection are the main concerns.

My mini wildflower meadow that I planted on the extension in front of my house has added a newcomer. Little purple flowers are popping up everywhere in-between the Black-eyed Susans and Coreopsis. I just used Seek by iNaturalist to identify it, and the flower is a Lemon Bee Balm and can be used in cooking and eaten in salads. I had no idea--this is very exciting garden development!

For those that don't know, up until just before the embuggerance that was Covid, I was a fencing coach for around 20 years. I hold a diploma from the FIE (the international Federation). I know some things.

So. There are three types of pointy sticks. Two are stabby (epee and foil) one is slashy and stabby (sabre).

Epee is easy. Hit them before they hit you. Hit anywhere. Hit with pointy bit. Hit quick enough, one light. If you're not quick enough and you get hit at the same time, both score point.
