A Christian family member just posted an apology to God that the opening Olympics ceremony used an image of da Vinci's Last Supper. I've never once seen her apologize for most American Christians supporting a lying, unethical, dangerous, narcissistic, adulterer who violates every tenet of her faith.

I do not understand faith that is obsessed with the meaningless and not the vital. Stop obsessing over symbols and start raising your voice about what matters in our spiritual and physical world.

Oh yeah, we went on a quest for the popcorn bucket which was abandoned somewhere after midnight. It made me question if the buckets ever existed.

Me and a carload of late teens and young adults, mostly my kids and significant others. I'm not going to lie, that movie watched in that company is probably going to stand out as a highlight of 2024.

Was it high art? Fuck no. Was it fun? Yes.

Also, Lobster, Beau is Afraid and Saltburn are considered high art to some people...and those involve grave humping and a penis monster. They are also objectively not fun.

I say this as someone who hates the super hero genre with a white hot passion--that was great.

CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity firm behind last week's epic global computer meltdown — seemingly the largest IT outage in history — is offering its partners a hilariously inadequate mea culpa: a $10 Uber Eats gift card in apology.

It's a hilariously inadequate gesture for a slip-up that cost Fortune 500 companies more than $5 billion in direct losses, according to a new analysis by insurance firm Parametrix, and forced countless IT professionals to work around the clock over the weekend.

Adding insult to injury, at least some of the gift cards were "canceled by the issuing party" and were "no longer valid," according to TechCrunch.

Prosecutors say Gear targeted five federal judges in Washington, D.C. He’s also accused of threatening U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan, who oversaw two civil trials against Trump in suits brought by a writer accusing him of sexual assault, and New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who recently presided over Trump’s criminal hush money trial in Manhattan.

Gear is accused of an extraordinary spree of violent threats and misogynistic profanity. Prosecutors say he left voicemail messages accusing the officials of corruption and declaring that they would soon be executed.

“This defendant is a ticking time bomb,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Jacob Operskalski said at a bail hearing for Gear in Las Vegas on Tuesday. “His words are reminiscent of the Holocaust as he dehumanizes his victims, calling them filth, calling them trash.”
