I like 'em both ways. The dubbed voices (usually the same small group of voice actors) were half the fun. Also, often the dubbed versions are more faithful translations, since subtitles have to be read quickly and so are not always as complete.

The polling in France was so persuasive, bolstered as it was by mis-and disinformation, that Macron himself was taken in. I don't believe the polls. I don't believe the lying liars who want to suck out all the hope. BTW Rose, in the last cycle (2020) the pollsters ran fake polls sporadically, and media reported those, but the pollsters corrected towards the election so final polls matched reality. This time they went overboard with that, entertaining us with such lunacy, that Trump who has never gotten to 47% of the vote - somehow after Jan 6 and Espionage-A-Lago and whatnot, is above 50%. That is just absurd. BUT the pollsters knew, if they correct in next three months, their last polls ok

Starting in 2014 or so, the Kremlin started using social media to impact public opinion.

It's obvious to me that in order to test how much impact their different approaches had they hired polling companies to measure it for them and along the way they also discovered that the mere fact of publishing poll results impacts public opinions.

They have used fake polling to keep their man Trump propped up as a viable candidate imo.

I have no doubt that Bannon has been in contact with the Kremlin's agents for decades and decades.

I also suspect that Steve Bannon was involved with the fossil fuel industry, which is what the Kremlin is a member of, for a long time helping them to block climate action by spreading disinformation online even prior to the world wide web.

The same for Roger Stone too btw.

An absolutely delightful sidepath tag on sale at the usual place, from Cortland, New York -- I'm going to go out on a limb and say something that isn't mentioned on the listing, which is that this is from 1905. In fact seeing this helps explain the shape of a 1906 side path tag that I've been stumped by previously. The price for these, as usual, is more than I'm interested in paying, but it seems as if there is a market for them.
