given the scope of her backing by corporate donors no amount you could possibly raise will ever be anything more than a mere drop in the bucket

that money would do so much more good in the hands of someone from the #MutualAid or #TransCrowdFund hashtag struggling to afford the basic necessities of life

someone who already has more money than she could ever need fundraising $300,000 on here practically overnight

that's enough to fulfill the needs of every single mutual aid crowdfunding post i've ever seen on here stretching back several years

and yet so many of those remain unfunded. because people largely don't give a shit about the poor

and whatever amount ends up being raised for kamala will still just be a drop in the bucket compared to her gargantuan corporate donors

well-to-do folks don't HAVE TO spend their money on helping the less fortunate, as much as i'd encourage it

but you have to understand that publicly donating to a major political party that gets enormous sums of money from corporations is essentially just burning it and then acting like you did us all a favor

of course we're gonna feel bad when our needs struggle to be met meanwhile half of fedi is having a huge pointless bonfire with money that could've saved our asses and acting like they're actually solving literally anything. you seriously can't expect us to not be annoyed as fuck with that

but yeah it really speaks volumes how many more fucks people give about #MastodonForHarris -- which was, and i cannot stress this enough, a campaign merely to get her to create an account on this platform -- than they do helping anyone in the #MutualAid or #TransCrowdFund tags, which are constantly inundated with dire urgent requests
