Hey #wildfire fediverse - I'm a qualified forest firefighter currently available for deployment. Based in Australia, open to anywhere.

I do need to get paid for my work, and need someone to fund a chainsaw ticket refresher (last done in 2007). Otherwise I still have a valid arduous medical (until late November), 4wd, FFMV PPE, valid passport.

While a setting associated with the “system” you reference is present globally in Firefox 128, the underlying technology is in a prototype stage currently undergoing internal testing within Mozilla. Firefox has not sent any data from a user's device to servers for attribution or ads measurement in connection with this feature. We hope this helps alleviate your concerns.

Trump's ear was scratched by a splinter or similar. Hard to get the sympathy/tough man vote when admitting that, especially after all the "hit by a bullet" claims.
Update: zoomed in photos of Trump's ear are consistent with a bullet graze, and Ronnie Jackson's statement also asserts it. Remarkably close shot. 2cm to the right & Trump would probably be dead.

I’m guessing the lack of info is reflecting that his ear was injured by shrapnel (teleprompter or something) rather than the bullet. This would detract from his “tough guy” persona though, so they don’t want it to get out. jmho

Gupta was skeptical that it was a bullet that grazed Trump’s ear. Gupta is a military medic in addition to pulmonologist & attending physician. He cited both the fact that Eric Trump said Trump required no stitches at all & what an AR15 style rifle does to a body even when only a “tangential gunshot wound”

$A tangential gunshot wound (TGSW) is a gunshot wound where a bullet or fragments pass through tissue near the skull but do not penetrate the skull itself. The bullet can create a "gutter" wound and can cause cerebral injury. TGSWs can also be associated with other injuries, including: Skull fracture, Extracranial bullet fragments, and Moderate-to-severe blunt head injury. TGSWs can deteriorate over time, so patients should be closely monitored by a neurosurgical service and undergo a non-contrast brain CT scan and a delayed CT scan. The associated brain damage may not be obvious before a CT scan, and in some cases, there may not be any radiographic changes. The extent of the cerebral damage and its short- and long-term effects may not match the appearance of the scalp wound.$

I'm of the mind that the comment that a fragment of a teleprompter hit #Trump in the ear is the most likely thing that occurred. AR15 type rounds are known to tumble and create heavy damage to human tissue. That doesn't seem to be what happened to his ear. TY for sharing as always.

My first thought was it was somehow staged, but how could the "collateral damage" be justified. So what exactly happened? The injury was not a "graze" from my understanding, but a tear of the helix, or a bit of the helix torn away. Not a 'serious' injury, but it would be interesting to know & see, as we were advised about Reagan, JFK, others. He has never been transparent - but neither has Biden, which angers me.

There aren’t pics of a broken teleprompter but someone said it was his chart on immigration display that was hit. We’ll probably never know w/o the medical report. If the report had said he had a gunshot wound he’d be waving it around. Whatever it was, it wasn’t a bullet. Could have been debris from other shots. There is the pic where you can see a bullet going by his head, it was close but it doesn’t mean it hit him.

I still think his ear may have not been hit at all, with the blood the result of his toupee clip being ripped out when USSS tackled him to the ground. If that (or something similar) is the case, it wouldn't be the self-serving version of events that he & the press have been telling.

Without a giant bandage covering the entire ear when cameras able to zoom in on him at the convention, it might have been easy to see that there is no bullet wound at all.

In Trump’s first statement after the event he kept putting a lot of emphasis on it definitely being a bullet, so that made me suspicious that it wasn’t but it sounded better to him. He also immediately gushed over the security personnel’s response, even though we all saw their awkwardness in getting him off the stage while he was trying to find his shoes and create a photo op at the same time. It made me think the injury may have actually been from a lower caliber friendly fire, but they didn’t want that narrative either. Of course that’s all just my conjecture. I don’t know how his shoes fell off, though, when all he did was squat straight down to the ground where he was already standing. He’s such a spazz.

But this injury (or whatever) was to the upper/outer helix of his ear. It didn't graze his head. I'm also wondering why we've seen no pictures (we even saw photos of JFK's face & head...). And why is he still wearing a maxi-pad? He didn't need sutures, I'm sure he's utd on his tetanus shot, and he probably sees the doctor daily. If it really was just his external ear, it's like when someone gets their ear plugs/disk torn out accidentally. Not a big deal and no reflection on his abilities to be President.

And if it was more serious, we'd never know anyway. He already proved that to the public during his term in office. And nobody really much cared.

Woke just after 5 am, but unlike when I was in the hospital, I'd slept for almost 8 hours. It was glorious 🙂

Just about the first thing I do every morning is open the living room shades. Today, I got to see the gardens for the first time in over a week.

And...wow. Sunflowers over 6 feet tall. One potato is at least 3 feet tall. I can't tell if those really tall plants in the middle are beans or tomatoes from inside the house. So much growth in all the plants!

Sunflowers over 6 feet tall. Borage working on a garden takeover, given that there's at least one plant in most of the beds. Bright orange marigolds blooming. A cucumber plant that's now about 5 feet long (I have to go work on that!)

I have to go rescue my rhubarb and Brussels sprouts from the borage. Strawberry plants have come back and should be new growth, so there might be some berries.

I'm guessing the carrots and beets can be harvested. One potato plant is about 3 feet tall, so I might have potatoes. And I have to sort through the various squash plants to see if we have any more.

Jim harvested a dozen zucchini while I was gone (and he made zucchini bread!), and I'm guessing there are more.

Tall plants in the middle of the photo ae either tomatoes or beans (or both). I'll figure that out, too, when I get out there.

I also have to find the beets and onions that I planted in various beds.

Yup. Another muggy, misty, cloudy, damp morning. But #today it's a cool, 71deg, with a nice, though wet feeling breeze and no rain to #joinin yet. The weather folks are thinking the weather gods are gonna take a breather #today and hold off to muster there resourses to continue their soggy effort later this evening. ⛈️

So, I'm kinda hoping the wet n soggy will have a chance to seep away some and dry up enough to let me get out and whack some of those high n heavy weeds in my jungle like lawn #today. 🤞
THAT would probably be a fun way to shower #today, and wash n rise the clothes I'd wearing too. 💦🚿

Oh heck. No sun here today. But I did get out to retrieve the trash bin from the road. So there was that. 💪

Lemme tell ya, it was a soggy trip in the muggy air, and not at all refreshing. But at least I wasn't rained on. 👍

So been spending my morning doing my usual morning walking around and exercising to prepare for my Friday of Honey-doins inside and holding out a little hope things dry out some this afternoon and let me cut some jungle growth.🤞
