Artist: Ann Mortifee
Album: Born To Live (1983)
Song: Never Ending Search
I serve an unknown master in whom I don't believe
I wear a flaming eightfold wheel branded on my sleeve
I bow before a hidden throne I never will perceive
I seem to answer questions which I cannot conceive

Ann Mortifee was born in South Africa and moved to Canada, and she is a powerful soprano singer. One of the first artists I saw live, and I loved her "Born To Live" and Journey To Kairos" albums as a kid.
I'm not sure if this song's lyrics are zen, but they feel vaguely Buddhist, at least.
