I’m spending less time online this week repeating myself about politics and more time with humans in person. Tonight that means having a Krampus-themed drink with a friend where a portion of the proceeds goes to non-profits that help animals in need.

Yesterday, farmers in southern Syria shared how they were prevented from accessing their fields by the IOF. Today, residents from the surrounding areas gathered near Maariyah to protest Israel’s presence in Syria. The occupation forces opened fire on the protesters hitting at least one person.

Maariya is on the western edge of Syria’s southern Daraa province, it is located near Syria’s occupied Golan Heights, but outside of the buffer zone that was established in the 1974 ceasefire agreement between Syria and Israel.

NES, SNES, N64, Atari 2600, and Sega Mega Drive — sorry, Genesis — is a very US-centric view of retro gaming.

For most of the UK and Europe, it was the Speccy, C64, Atari ST, and Amiga.

And yes, old DOS and Windows 3.1 games definitely count as retro.
