My first thought of this photo, of a small, handsome, unarmed man in orange, looking either defiant or staring humbly downward, surrounded by dozens of huge men in black, all bulked out with riot gear and bulletproof vests, carrying heavy artillery, my first thought was:

They're terrified of him.

They're terrified of that small man in handcuffs.

Look at how much power he wields against the most powerful men in the world.

People are going to look at that and think, "I want to be just like him."

*I* look at that, and want to be just like him. I'm not planning to murder anyone, but I've got words to write that can undermine abusers of power, and I'm working hard towards positioning myself to do just that.

Where I've been hyperparanoid since the election, those pictures make me feel BRAVE.

They can't take all of us.

@rrdot Their view of what kinds of power are the most powerful is self-limiting in this way. They do study how to wield and gather power their whole lives, and they get quite good at it, but their success at using brute force to get their way has limited their imaginations about other forms of power.

All power can be checked by another form of power. It will not be the form that seems the strongest to the defender, not until it's too late.

I was surprised when they were talking about charging him with second-degree murder. Then they charged him with a federal crime of first-degree murder, putting the death penalty on the table. The right two leds (1,2) indicate the column, and the left two (3,4) indicate the row. The 8th led is just a 'key is down' signal (so you can tell key 0,0 from no key at all).
This decoder is made for a 4x4 matrix, but it seems I can't find any around.

@jemcewen Their ulterior motive is to destroy the standing of the USA (destroy Dollar dominance by default and/or promoting Bitcoin as the reserve currency), forcing population instability so that US states splinter into smaller provinces and selling the federal assets, such as tech and military, to the private sector on the cheap.

New Kendrick, Xiu Xiu, Chelsea Wolfe, and other favorites dropped. This year was a rollercoaster of emotions for me, but music made it infinitely easier to deal with.

We Americans have been so propagandized, and lied to by our media, 24/7 that they really can't accept the fact we (and Israel, but we fund Israel) are the most depraved, genocidal psychopaths on the planet. The media gets paid the big bucks to distract the public from this fact, by convincing them its some leader, of some other country, that's the bad guy causing all the problems in the world -- and they fall for it every time. It's like a mental disease that can't be cured.
