On Sunday, we get the keys to our new townhouse in #Canada, finally.

So we walk over there today for fun, & our neighbor Jerry, who must be over 70, is cutting down our overgrown bushes for us, because we told him we wanted to pull some of them to give Hammy more space. He wanted to get the ball rolling.

I'm sitting here running Kamala Harris through Gossip Machine over the time period of DJT's presidency. It's amazing how often she's put forward as a voice of resistance . But looking back on it, you can see it never coalesced into a political narrative, possibly because she was being attacked by bearded thumbs on CNN.

New York weather makes it prohibitive to be outdoors for six months per year. San Francisco has a much milder climate and much smaller geographic area than New York City. Then there is the issue of homeless who reject housing offers because of restrictions on prostitution drug use etc. in the available housing. Many of our long term homeless have been offered SRO or shelter beds and refused it.

Ha! I worked briefly with her incompetent brother about 40 years ago. She was our US Representative back when, but she changed districts to one even more MAGA friendly north of here last election. I've said for years she was the stupidest person in Congress, and only the arrival of Lauren Boebert and Empty Greene has forced me to rethink this a bit. The competition is fierce.

We intended to add a bathroom in our basement at some point in the future, but we are moving that project up as TJ‘s uncle will be staying with us for a bit. Of course he will be up here on the main level hanging out with us a lot, but we want him to be able to be as comfortable and self-sufficient as possible while he’s staying down there. He doesn’t cook either, but we will get him a mini fridge and a microwave to have. We want it to be as much like his own little apartment as we can make it.
