@derickr @cxj This reminds me a few months ago I ordered a glass of the Whistle Pig 18, knowing it would be expensive, but not realizing how expensive. When he left the bottle in front of me, I thought, “Oh, shit. This must be really expensive.”

It was about $125 for the shot. For comparison, a full bottle retails for about $470. There are about 17 shots in a bottle. I was expecting between $40 and $70.

If the Federal government can pay 24billion dollars over a few years to subsidize a pipeline that no one wants, they can surely fork over 600 million a year to help transit run. Rio Tinto has entered an agreement with the government of Quebec to invest a shared $285 million into installing new technology in its Arvida smelting facility to process alumina ore into usable aluminum without generating carbon dioxide.

Rio Tinto will be converting 10 pots to produce 2,500 tons of aluminum per year using this new cleaner method. Alcoa will have the option to purchase a portion of the metal for the first four years.
