Personally, I believe Kamala Harris will inspire more voters to vote for her than Biden could have captured. The Democratic Base will be re-energized and depending how well she leads the campaign, she could be a very strong speech-maker. This is also an opportunity to bring-in someone sharp and exciting as a vice-presidential candidate. Even at his best, Biden really did not have the fire in him to truly inspire many people. I think the potential is here now.

The fmr Gov of Alaska going nowhere in the politics because of HER background and failing was no suprise either. And Hilary is a hard-nosed, hard ass of a Lawyer, but the baggage she brought from her husband is probably mostly to blame for her failure. Not to mention, she IS a hard woman, but then to have gotten to be an ACTUAL Lawyer and female in the time she did was necessary to be considered a person to pass The Bar in 1968 is a no durh.

Elizabeth Warren would have been an excellent choice. However, Bernie Sanders did way better - White and Male. And while I like Harris, she has no game.

I am a registered Democrat and vote as such because it is the party that has policies that most closely align with my own. I once voted for the Republican candidate at the local level. Years ago, I now no longer recall who it was. With the rise of Trump I saw the Republican party turn into a cult of personality with much of that focus on falsehoods and meanness. I've been down, out of work, living on the edge, but never would I have thought immigrants are taking all the jobs and it would be cool idea to put razor in Rio Grande!

Will American rise up and reject such mean-spirited policy? Will Americans rise up and say -- BULLSH*T -- when the someone like Marjorie Taylor Green pretends to know more about viral infection than Jennifer Doudna?

Well.... I know one American who will do that -- ME! And it wouldn't matter at all who Democrats nominate for President and Vice President. And maybe I'm just in a good mood today -- but you know what I think this is our moment as Americans. That we will rise up and tell Donald Trump and those like them -- nice try -- but not here -- not now.

Why such a mood today? At First Universalist Parish one of our long time members lit a candle of concern. She is really worried about where our country may be heading. During the social hour I asked her a bit about her history. What has she witnessed in her 88 years. And you know what... people like her have been in the fight their whole life. She told me about growing up conservative, but gaining liberal views in college. About fighting against American's involvement in the Vietnam war and getting arrested. As well as living through many other tumultuous moments.

Take care everyone. Let's not give up. Tell your neighbors you're voting Democrat or at least can't support Trump. No need to argue every point. Just make your views known.

I have studied embarrassingly little history, but find it incredibly wtf that we seem insistent on repeating 1968 a mere half-century after it ended so badly.

I will admit that her record is not especially "Progressive". But at this particular moment in time, we need a Prosecutor. And it should be her duty to work hard to carry-out the Democratic agenda as spelled out in the Party Platform. So far, from what i have read, most of them seem to be falling in line behind Kamala. Maybe not the true assholes like those two Aderssen and whatever, but the majority of the ones that were squeamish on Biden seem to be gun ho for Kamala. But it's too soon to be sure.

I see she's picked up something like 900 pledged delegates, which isn't too bad after one day and with mainly only Biden's endorsement.

Can't be Newsome cause he's from her state. Probably best not to be Whitmer, cause two women might be a little too much for the old boy network.
