… not quite but this spectacular Oxide & Friends episode goes through their bring-up adventures including an FPGA controlling the power distribution network, a dedicated “load slammer” trying to simulate the demand of the ASIC, the 8lb heatsink trying to keep it cool, and the mechanical engineering required to keep the heatsink from shearing the ASIC clean off the board.

@jpm to be fair I am running native 400G today although that's relatively niche. The current "sold in volume" product is 100G per lane optical (e.g. 100GBase-LR1) but it's still 50G per lane on the electrical (PHY to optic) side

This channel aggregation thing has been good for the industry and I'm enjoying some of the flexibility it brings
