Yet it WILL burn up, if NASA and Space-X have anything to say about the matter. Space-X has already been contracted to build the USDV deorbit vehicle, and Axiom has pushed forward by two years its plan to attach its first commercial module to the ISS: that's 2028. Three short years from now. The ISS doesn't even have five more years of existence.

NASA's criteria for discarding the ISS and letting it "burn up", as you put it, are ridiculously simple: the presence in orbit of both a USDV and a commercial space station (Axiom).

Once those exist, the ISS is toast, to be replaced by a PRIVATE FOR-PROFIT commercial entity. Near-Earth will be fully privatized, another step backward from Roddenberry's unrealized dream for humanity.

The existence of cultures — particularly minority cultures, as Jews are everywhere outside Israel and Muslims are in the US and Europe — is not the problem. The problem is in cultural forms that do not accept the existence of difference.

Christians believe that all Jews have to die for their apocalypse. Muslims don’t think that, though Jews are formally barred from polite Muslim society.

It’s a material matter between Jews and Arabs.

Relateable, but currently it's trying to convince my computer that my printer also has a scanner.

What I do for new dishes is get a piece of paper from the recyclable stack and write a quick schematic version of the recipe, in kitchen order and with big numbers for the times and measures.

These serve sometimes as drafts for the clean notebook, but yeah some of those end up archived in all their drafty glory in The Envelope.
