I was writing rust the other day and my IDE has some sort of AI auto complete or suggestion enabled and in one instance provided code that isn’t even rust. It was lifted out of JavaScript or Java or something. It was so obviously wrong it took me a minute to comprehend what the fuck had just happened. I’ve since then turned this “feature” off.

What Google is signalling here is that they don’t have confidence in legacy search.
