Okay! Got it working. You can now run #Posty as a "Dedicated Hosted Service" and that will effectively turn Posty into a single-domain Mastodon archive upload+static HTML site generation tool; perfect for when your site is closing down, but you want to allow your instance members a place to preserve, publicly, their content while still allowing you, site admin, the ability to retire your Mastodon server.

(Boring technical details follow, if the link above is not clear enough)

Set LIMIT_TO in the .env to any instance, and only archives for that instance will be accepted.

SES urls (@user/:statusID) are defaulted.

you know what i hate? having to switch into "tech mode" when am supposedly doing something non-computer related like cooking.

had to print a recipe, but because twas from a new device, had to jump all the hoops to have it connect to the printer. so went from happily thinking about chocolate cookies to the Malcolm-In-The-Middle Dad's Lightbulb moment.

I've gotten so sick of just that situation that I finally just put a notebook in the kitchen and started copying out the recipe in question by hand. The notebook is now a very disorganized but also incredibly on trend cookbook.

I backed up all the way to a card-file-box for recipes!

It's big enough for a sheet of letter paper folded in four, so will hold a printout while I'm deciding if the recipe is Card-Worthy. Easy to put up around the kitchen as something goes through process, easy to have a *lot* of recipes up at once, easy to add notes.

I'm tempted to get an edge-hole-punch and make them into a "knitting needle" database, too.

What I do for new dishes is get a piece of paper from the recyclable stack and write a quick schematic version of the recipe, in kitchen order and with big numbers for the times and measures.

These serve sometimes as drafts for the clean notebook, but yeah some of those end up archived in all their drafty glory in The Envelope.

Stella, a teenage golden retriever yellow Labrador mix looked at me and rolled upside down on the couch. She’s definitely saying to me: “Come get me!”

Because her jowl is loose and hanging downward here teeth are visible. She totally looks like she is smiling. I don’t think dog’s mouths work like that — but inside she is totally smiling!
