I think some - including Seth Meyers - mis-interpret Sir's ignorant and repetitive use of the word "groceries".
It's not (only) that he wants to claim he discovered the word and its magnificence (BLT!) - he's just developmentally at the level of a 4-5 year suddenly discovering the amazing notion of 'groceries', which most normal humans see and buy in stores.

Interesting conversation with Montana yesterday. We picked her up from college and it is about a 45 minute drive home. Montana is 21 and she is my youngest. I asked her if there was much discussion on campus about healthcare in the light to murder of UHC CEO Brian Thompson. Answer: Not much. Montana mentioned the high percentage of claim denials. I asked, do you think UHC should never deny a claim? Montana is very bright and is often careful when she sees my question as leading, so she couched her answer, but basically said yes. "No one should make money by actively harming another" she proclaimed. The assumption in that statement is Thompson would be aware that some UHC profit was tied to claim denial that in turn led to harm. But... I added... UHC is not some magical entity. All claims it pays comes from those paying premiums. Would not paying all claims require premiums to be raised?

I don't believe simple answers to these issues exist[1], but I must say I want my daughters to resist meme-based-thinking on these issues.

[1] I favor Medicare for All and a rights-based system wherein access is based on need not ability to pay. Wherein funding comes from a progressive tax system. That said, transforming the US system to any new would would be difficult.

Thanks @Ted. There is a passage from Deuteronomy 6 that tells parents to teach their children. But... but... but... I'd say it really is a two-way street. I learn so much from my daughters. Montana is on the autism spectrum and she often speaks very rapidly with few breaks. I'm still working on it... but I now try to a patient and careful listener.

This is a step in the right direction. #3dPrinting filament changing and tool changing is too complex and wasteful. Adding colour to the filament on the bed eliminates so many stupid complexities in the system.

I'm not sure this particular system, which is built on years-old 3d printers and with proprietary ink cartridges is right, but conceptually this is the correct trajectory.

It is an interesting step. Comparing the saturation of the Multi-material prints vs the inkjet prints is not great but you can't do "pictures" with MMU systems either.

A hot end mixing white and black filament to give you a variable 'K' element and tanks to inject cyan, magenta, and yellow as needed would be an interesting take too. Binding the ink to the plastic is always going to be tough.

@ChuckMcManis I’m guessing the lack of saturation has something to do with the ink being meant for paper rather than plastic (and he admits that he’s using the wrong base filament). There are very reliable dyes for some plastics that might be a better fit than an “ink”.

I also wonder if other 2d printing tech might be a better fit. Dye sub?

It’s been a rough week for Jasper, he became very sick last weekend and spent most of the week in the hospital. Old age & kidney issues catching up to him (he’s 15). But they were able to get his levels back down close to normal and he is now back home with his humans (& those stinkin’ dogs), has his warm comfy blanket, a good appetite & is drinking water. Thankful. Here he’s getting some outside time in the nice weather (under supervision).
